Bonded Pairs
Keeping pets together
A lot of animals are social, so it’s no surprise that we often see pairs surrendered to us. The real surprise is how tricky it is to keep the groups together. Not every adopter is ready to take on two pets at once. But we know it’s in the best interest of these bonded couples to stay together, so we take every possible measure to preserve the connection.
If you’re ready to bring an extra helping of love and affection into your home, please consider the loving couples displayed on this page.
Below are some of our bonded pairs currently available for adoption:

Kimmi + Terry

Female (Neutered)

Hi there. My name is Terry and this is my best friend and sister Kimi. We were brought to the shelter because our previous guardian let us go outside. We stuck together in the cold and a really nice person found us and brought us in. The shelter staff took really good care of us. We have both been spayed. I have to tell you something really sad about myself. When I was being spayed, the vet found out that I had adenocarcinoma. What that means is that the vet found some cancer in my uterus and did her best to remove it during the surgery. The only thing is that she cannot be sure if it will come back in the future; there is always a chance. I am completely healthy right now and I might live a long and healthy life without any cancer. But the vet wants to make sure that my new guardian knows this information before I am adopted. I will need to go to the vet every six months to get x-rays done to make sure I am cancer free. I love my sister and we spend all day grooming each other. I don’t want us to be in the shelter any longer. We have been here since November and I am hoping that a really nice person can give us a second chance in life.

Animal type: Small Domestic - Rabbit
Steve + Tommy
A118348
Male (Neutered)
Unknown
Hello, my name is Tommy and this is Steve. We have both been neutered already. We have a very sad story to tell. We came to the shelter with fifteen other rabbits. Our previous guardian was over whelmed with so many rabbits and so he decided to leave us at the shelter. But the worst thing is that he did not bring us in to surrender us himself. Instead, he left us in two cardboard boxes on the side of the building. It was raining that day, and it took a while for someone to find us near the garbage. Most of us had to go through a treatment period but now we’re healthy enough to find our new homes. Steve and I really got along well and decided to stay together. Now we are looking for a permanent home where our new guardian can love us forever. The shelter volunteers describe us as gentle and docile. We both really are sweethearts. We are not asking for much, but a little love and attention and I promise we’ll give back much more in return!

Animal type: Small Domestic - Rabbit
Mocha & Latte
A095690
Male(s)/Female(s)
3 years
Hello, my name is Mocca and this is my brother and best friend, Latte. We're neutered male Dutch bunnies almost three years of age. We had been surrendered by our owner who was leaving the country and could not take us with them. We got adopted a while later, but had to be brought back to the shelter almost two years later because our new owner was moving away for school. Latte and I are nice bunnies, but we're not used to being picked up and handled much. We must go to an experienced bunny owner who can help us overcome our fear of being picked up. We cannot go to a home with young kids or a first time bunny mom/dad. We do not like living at the shelter and are waiting to go home. We love each other and must be adopted together. Please love us!
