Jen is our senior Canine Services Program coordinator, she has been training dogs since 1995. Jen has trained dogs, once deemed unadoptable by some, and has turned them into the ideal family pet. “Your dog needs to learn that you are in control at all times. If you put your dog on a pedestal he will always look down on you.” |
 Glenda
Glenda is a certified dog trainer who regularly assesses dogs for the THS Colour-code system. She socializes the dogs using positive-reinforcement techniques: “During training, the dog's experiences should be positive ones. This type of training involves rewarding good behaviour and not rewarding poor behaviour. When I reward a dog with a treat, that is my way of telling him his behaviour is correct and acceptable.” |
