Bella needs a very special home. She suffers from irreversible retinal degeneration and will be blind in the next 18 months. Right now her vision is about 20% -- she can make out shapes, though has trouble with stairs and surprises. But she is incredibly adaptive, and somehow remains one of the sweetest dogs anyone at the THS has ever met. She’s great with other dogs (and plays like a dog with perfect vision), gentle with cats and puppies, is amazingly friendly with kids and adults. In short, minus the blindness, Bella is the dog with the proverbial bow on top. Oh, and by the way, she’s a lab/terrier cross, 4-ish, fit, female and fixed (how’s that for alliteration?). |
