Animal Welfare Committee

The animal welfare committee is responsible for ensuring that the physical, mental, social, health, and nutritional needs of all animals at the Toronto Humane Society are being met.

Communications Committee

The communications committee will focus on transparency – ensuring members and the public know what’s happening inside the shelter and on the board.

The governance committee’s mandate is to ensure that the board is elected fairly and acts in a transparent and accountable manner.

Spay/Neuter Committee

Prevention is the key to ending animal homelessness.  The spay / neuter committee helps tackle the root causes of animal overpopulation by developing plans to: open a high volume spay/neuter clinic, alter animals before they are adopted, and support a strategic Trap / Neuter / Release program for feral cats.

Volunteer Committee

Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Toronto Humane Society. They enrich the life of the animals, organize events and raise much needed dollars. The volunteer committee will make sure they are involved at the highest level, and that their work is appreciated and rewarded.
