Dear staff at THS,

It has been an unforgettable experience so far after adopting Nina (renamed Tequila) a little over a year ago from THS. She was a part of your large group rescue from California last summer. The beginning of our journey began when we lost our family dog - having had two dogs together for quite sometime, we found the house far too quiet. After working at THS for a combined camp with Pawsitively Pets Kids Camp and taking a tour - I knew it was only a matter of time before my family adopted one of the many loving animals in your care.

Tequila has brought a whole new dimension to our household - she is so sweet, caring, loving, and energetic. You would never believe such a big personality could come out of such a small body! When we first brought her home she was fearful of men and strangers, and often sunk to the ground when people tried to pet her. Today, she is the biggest cuddle-monster in the world and is getting better at dealing with strangers - all she needed was a bit of time. With some of her insecurities gone, she now has more time to enjoy the other things in life, such as chasing squirrels in the backyard, going for runs near the water or in the park, and playing/napping with her new best friend, Leela. Our favourite thing is to take her to an open space and watch her run, her happiness in that moment continues to make us smile.

Thank you for giving us this amazing dog, keep up the good work!
