Peanut

Peanut"We'd just like to share our "happy tail" with you and the rest of the people at the Humane Society. We adopted Peanut, a beautiful white dwarf rabbit from the Humane Society on March 10th, 1996. We had already adopted another rabbit from THS, Pudge, and we thought it was time to give him a companion.

When she arrived home for the first time, she was very timid. After all, she was only a baby, and I remember that she could even fit in the palm of my hand! We're convinced that she got her name from the shape she resembles when she curls up to sleep. We allowed Peanut and Pudge to bond, and over the following weeks they became the best of friends.

Well, it's been almost 10 years now, and this "old timer" is still bouncing around. She enjoys many varieties of vegetables and fruits, but she is actually quite a food snob. She loves taking her papaya enzyme tablets, but refused when we switched from the brand with "super" on the label to the regular one! Queen of the household and all, we love our Peanut, and look forward to spending many more years with her. Thanks THS!"

Kevin, on behalf of the Chu family.
