Dear Toronto Humane Society - I just wanted to write to thank you for bringing my family together with Franko (a.k.a. Frank, Booger, Mr. Magoo etc etc). We have had him in our family for 7 years now (since he was 2 years old). My mom got me and my little sister Franko for Christmas. He was found by you in a dumpster in the middle of winter. Cold and hungry, you helped him, and then gave us the pleasure and responsibility to keep him safe and love him forever.
The story has been told many times that as she walked down the rows of cages filled with dogs of all breeds and sizes there was a single white paw stretched out as far as he could reach into the hall.
As my mom got closer and closer, all of the dogs yapping away beside her, she was only interested in one animal. Once she got up to his cage all she could see was a smushed face, no barking, no wagging, just a serious look in his eye. She knew that second she couldn't live a second longer without this adorable puppy. He is so smart, so sensitive, so cuddly, an amazing guard/watch dog, loves sleeping with everyone (especially under the covers), and has learned over 10 tricks. I can't imagine how anyone could let such a wonderful creature out of their sight. I know I never ever ever ever will, he has become a member of our family, and a very important one at that. Thank you Toronto Humane Society for bringing Franko to us. He is truly amazing and we love him entirely. Thank you.
Levy, Gail, Ruby & Franko.
