Hi:

Just thought I'd send you an update on 2 lovely cats that I adopted from the THS - Billy in May 2003 and Joey (you knew him as either Buzzy or Colby) in May 2004. Billy is the big brown tabby and Joey is the tiny orange fellow!

Billy is now about 12 years old and is a real joy to know and thankfully remains healthy after having had a hernia repair and dental cleaning a few months after becoming part of the family! Unfortunately though, we had to say goodbye to wee Joey at the end of January this year (2006). He was about 12 when adopted and I knew that he was hyperthyroid and required daily medication for that. Not long after bringing him home my vet discovered that he was also in renal failure and so he put him on a special kidney diet. He seemed pretty good and was quite active up until mid-January of 2006 but then he really took a turn for the worst and in spite of my vet's best efforts we decided that it would be the kindest thing to let him go. It was hard but I knew that he'd been much loved and very well cared for over the last 18 months or so of his life and that he'd been in the best of company here with Billy and Muggins.

As you can see from this picture they all got on very well and it wasn't unusual to find the three of them lying in very close proximity to each other!
