Tyson |
Recently, I adopted Tyson through your Midsummer Night's Dream Pet Adopt-a-thon... and to be completely honest, he's FAR from a midsummer night's dream pet... probably better in winter!! The fact that he won't sleep anywhere but in the bed, and wants to lay as close as he can possibly get to (if not directly on top of) me gets things pretty warm on a midsummer's night. haha. :o)
I just wanted to send a quick email note to say THANK YOU for everything you all did to bring Tyson and I together... he's an angel!! We're working on keeping a steady pace while out for walks, and that's about the only thing he's struggling with (I think keeping pace with three legs poses a slight challenge.. haha). I know everyone made a big fuss about Tyson as we were getting ready to leave, so I thought I had better follow-up and let everyone know he's doing great... I've attached some pics as well so you can see that he's quite comfortable.
Special thanks to the vets, vet techs and everyone else who helped Tyson get through his accident and learn to deal with just having three legs...
people are amazed when they see him running around and playing; I don't think he even realizes he's “handicapable”!! He's a great dog, and what he's been through hasn't had any kind of impact on his awesome personality, which is so great to see. I can only assume that is a result of all the love and sweetness he was shown during his time at the THS.
So once again, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for bringing Tyson and I together... he's a wonderful companion, and I don't know what I was doing before he came along... thanks for EVERYTHING, and we'll try to come in for a visit soon to say hello!!
Leigh Oxley.
