May and June

May and June "Hello,

I just thought I'd take a second to send out a quick thank-you and update. It was in October, 2006 that my housemates and I came to the shelter to adopt a cat and ended up with two!

They were 'Lucky' and 'Joker' at the shelter and now they are May and June. The cats are now a staple of our household. June is still the attention-seeker, but May has started to open up too. (When we first came to the shelter we didn't even realize May existed because she was hiding under the blankets while June would paw at the cage.) Now May will shower us with attention when she feels like it, but it is June the attention-seeker who you see 90% of the time in our house!

It is so wonderful to have two cats that have always been together, and it speaks volumes for your Bonded Pairs program. They don't mind being separate at times, but they will often play together and nap together. I took a picture of them today catching a quick nap together on the couch, and I've attached it for you to see.

Once again, thanks so much for being there, and I'm sure if they could speak May and June would thank you as well! Keep up the great work you do for animals every day at the shelter."

Will Waugh.
