Two years ago we adopted Jack during the free cat adoption. My daughter and I looked for a young cat (not a kitten) and one that would not be traumatized by living with several large dogs. We hadn't found one, and just as we were leaving, a man brought out this grey cat. He didn't have a name only a number. This cat reached out between the bars and tapped my daughter's shoulder. Some other people went to look at him and he went to the back of his cage.
We filled out the adoption forms on him, and brought him home (boy was the waiting line long on that day, but Jack has proved he was well worth that wait).
Once home we put a baby gate up across my daughter's room door so Jack could see the dogs but the dogs couldn't bother him. Three days later I found Jack cuddled up with the dogs ...napping. He now not only naps with them but also cleans each and every one of them several times a day. My dog's ears sparkle. The dogs seem to enjoy Jack's grooming. Jack will often times snub his own food for sharing with the dogs.
Jack also readily joins training sessions, to get a liver treat. Jack has a reliable recall, sit, down, stay, and presents a very nice show stack.
Jack is a true joy to share family life with.
Sincerely,
Kerri Bojahra.
