Mandy

Mandy

"About 4 months ago, unfortunately our precious little cat Midnight passed away (she was almost 18). We were devastated and heart broken. She was a beautiful girl and the "sunshine" of our lives as was her sister Brewster who passed away about 6 years ago. After losing Brewster, we both swore that we would never have another cat after Midnight passed away because it’s so painful losing them. We loved them very much (always will) and they were such a big part of our lives.

Some time passed after losing Midnight and something just didn’t seem right. We were missing those "furry little paws". As hard as it was for us losing Midnight recently, we made our way down to the Toronto Humane Society on a Friday afternoon after work to find those special "furry little paws" to love and cuddle with.

So we walked around and around. Sure enough one beautiful little girl got our attention - her name was Fancy (we changed her name to Mandy). She was so sweet and put on a quite a show for us with her cute little song and dance - she definitely won over our hearts. We not only adopted her, but she adopted us.

Mandy

We brought her home and it only took a couple of days before she realized that this was now her forever loving home (as you can see from the photo taken on her first full day at home). From there on she has settled in very comfortably and of course taken over. She has a beautiful, affectionate and loving personality with tons of energy - one of her nicknames is "The Energizer Bunny". She loves to climb her tall scratching post which is from floor to ceiling (as you can see in the picture) and also loves to play hide and seek. Mandy has definitely brought back the "sunshine" into our lives and we really believe that this was meant to be. We are so very happy and grateful that Mandy is part of our lives and look forward to many loving and enjoyable years with her.

As all animal lovers know, each animal is special and unique in their own way and we share a special bond with each of them. They all deserve a wonderful and loving home. We would like to thank everyone at the Toronto Humane Society for your ongoing support and care of these needy animals and thank you so much for our beautiful little Mandy. "
