Update: Vick indicted on state dogfighting charges
Vick sacked again - Update for Sept.27

Update with some Canadian flavour (Sept.26)
Vick is now facing more legal trouble as the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) has filed a lawsuit against him for defaulting on a $2.3 million (U.S.) loan. The bank says that his guilty plea, suspension from the NFl and loss of sponsors constitute an 'event of default' and are now taking steps to recover the money. The hits just keep on coming for Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick. And rightfully so. He's currently awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty in Federal court to a dogfighting conspiracy charge and faces up to five years in Federal prison. He's been indefinitely suspended by the NFL and has been dropped by all his major sponsors. He's now suffered another blow with he and his three co-defendants being indicted by a grand jury on State charges relating to the dogfighting ring operated out of his Virginia property.
We can only hope that these new charges will mean that Vick receives an appropriate punishment for his crimes and not walk away with the proverbial 'slap on the wrist'.
