THS vets remove two pellets from abandoned feline

Luckily, the pellets were lodged just beneath the skin and didn’t cause any irreparable damage.

“The cat was ‘lucky’ because it had been shot from a distance,” explains THS Chief Veterinarian, Dr. Sheridan. “If the shooter had been closer, the damage would have been severe.”

The most likely explanation for this shooting is that someone was using the cat for target practice. Why do some people think it is okay to torture animals for fun? And where are their friends and family while they’re doing things like shooting innocent cats? Let us know your thoughts in the "Cat survives pellet gun attack" Blog.
