Satellite adoption centre’s successes
keep rolling along

These Border Collie pups had no trouble finding loving new homes!

The combination of 4 adorable puppies, a weekend of beautiful weather and location, location, location saw our new satellite adoption centre double its adoption rate in just two days.

As of Monday April 7, the new adoption centre at the Van Horne Plaza in North York has adopted out a total of 22 animals—11 of those over the weekend alone.

It comes as no surprise to anyone that the adorable border collie sisters, Jeanette, Brittany and Eleanor, saw their world’s expand over the weekend as each was adopted into a great home. Two other puppies have also found homes via our Victoria Park location. Rocky, the 8-month-old beagle was adopted over the weekend and Mackenzie, the 3-month-old Old English sheepdog, was adopted a week ago.

Fifteen cats and 2 kittens have also been adopted out of the satellite centre. The kittens were: a 2-month-old calico named Butterfly, and Baby an 8-month-old tabby. The cats adopted out include: six-year-old Funny Face, 1-year-old Captain, 1.5-year-old Brad, a 6-year-old brown tabby named Oscar, 10-year-old Herbert, a 3-year-old brown tabby named Gumbi, a 2-year-old black domestic named Chantal, a 1-year-old brown tabby named Laila, 2-year-old Jagodics, a silver tabby named Manth, 1 year-old Oreo, a 4-year-old brown tabby named Tiger, 1-year-old Vegas, a 2-year-old tabby named Gala, and 2-year-old Chrissy.

The Toronto Humane Society’s new satellite adoption centre is located in the Van Horne Plaza at 2802 Victoria Park Avenue, North York, Unit 13.

It is open from 11 am-7 pm daily and always features a menagerie of smaller animals including cats, birds, rabbits, hamsters, rats, mice, turtles, small dogs and more.

Animals ready for adoption can be found under the Adopt A Pet section of our website.

For directions to the new adoption centre see the map in the following story and don’t forget to come to our Grand Opening next Tuesday at 11am.
