Some 12 years ago we adapted a 2 yrs old dog from your shelter, however wonce at the Vet we were told that he was more like 4 which makes him 16 yrs old. Pepper is a miniature poodle/shitsu andhas been very well loved. However, he has Cushing Syndrom, he is blind, deft, half his teeth are gone and has now lost any sense of where he is going ( dementia). We paid a visit to our Vet to do the right thing and were asked $300.00 to have him put down as we think he has arrived at his time. As we are seniors with a fixed income we cannot put up $300.00. I wonder if this could be done at THS at a very minimal cost otherwise we will have to let him go on until he decides to give up. Would appreciate your comments.
