Hi I just read an article in the Star about Royal Envelope rescue of the Quebec dogs. I rescued a pup from a Quebec shelter and would like to know how to sponsor a similar rescue operation? Secondly what is being done in Quebec to stop the abuse in these independent shelters?

Some 12 years ago we adapted a 2 yrs old dog from your shelter, however wonce at the Vet we were told that he was more like 4 which makes him 16 yrs old. Pepper is a miniature poodle/shitsu andhas been very well loved. However, he has Cushing Syndrom, he is blind, deft, half his teeth are gone and has now lost any sense of where he is going ( dementia). We paid a visit to our Vet to do the right thing and were asked $300.00 to have him put down as we think he has arrived at his time. As we are seniors with a fixed income we cannot put up $300.00. I wonder if this could be done at THS at a very minimal cost otherwise we will have to let him go on until he decides to give up. Would appreciate your comments. Jeannine Saegert

Hi THS
i came to the shelter yesterday with my mother, sister and fiance. We wanted to adopt a kitten but unfortunately there wasn't any more kittens, and the one we were interested in adopting had already found a family. Do you know when the best time would be to come in and adopt a kitten? I'm so anxious to get one, my family would very much LOVEEEE the company of a little bundle of energy!

THS Said:

With the warm weather coming, kitten season is just around the corner. Please keep checking the cat adoption section of our website to see what cats and kittens we have available for adoption.
