When Diana was transferred to Toronto Humane Society from another animal welfare organization, she had anemia (low blood iron) and anaplasmosis, which is a tick-borne disease that infects a dog’s bloodstream. Diana was started on antibiotics which will treat the anaplasmosis and which, with weight gain, should resolve the anemia issue.
Once this treatment is complete, Diana will be scheduled for her spay surgery and some dental care.
Diana will remain with us until she is given a clean bill of health by our medical staff.
Be a Humane Champion monthly donor and change lives. Together we can continue to nurture the human-animal bond by directly supporting shelter care, training, education, and vet services. Your generosity means animals will live the life they were meant to live.
