We adopted our dear Watson at 5 years old in November 2013 from Toronto Humane Society, and sadly had to say goodbye to him this year.

He was our first baby, and through the years went through so many changes with our family. From moving three times, to welcoming a kitten, to welcoming a human baby, he took it all in (relative) stride. If anything, he was the one constant amidst a sea of changes.

Over the years, Watson had many health challenges, but we were lucky to have great vets to help us navigate this. He was the best dog, and in every way the perfect fit for us. He loved going on walks and would get especially excited if the whole family was going together. He lived for lounging on the couch and would force his way onto or in between laps even if there was no room. He was very patient and gentle with our cat, and our daughter.

He also had the stinkiest farts known to man.

We miss him so very much and would like to thank THS for the work that you do. Watson brought so much love and joy to our lives, and if anyone is on the fence about rescuing an animal, just know that it is worth it - for you and them.
