Fitzgerald

His Toronto Humane Society friends will know him as Rhubarb. He has come a long way from the dog we adopted to the dog we have today. In two years he has become the most wonderful, cool, calm, collected and devoted super hero buddy anyone could have hoped to find walking in to the Humane Society.

Having adopted a beautiful “senior dog” many years before, we did not know what a one year old, previously homeless, shepherd mix would bring! A dozen chewed through leashes and maybe a bit of ripped leather upholstery, our vet and the daycare owner said maybe this isn’t the dog for you. But through amazing (we mean amazing) private and group classes with Toronto Humane Society Canine Training, he became our loveable, all grown up, super smart will do anything to please you Fitzgerald. For anyone adopting a shelter animal who expects perfection on day one, or month one or month three or even year one…don’t. It all takes time. Get professional help! Toronto Humane Society trainers understand where your dog has been and they give you the tools you need. We cannot say thank you enough Toronto Humane Society!
