We had just lost our precious Betty Boo who we had adopted when she was 10 and lived 6 wonderful happy years with us, passing away peacefully at the end of July.

We had come to the Humane Society in early September once again to see if they had any senior dogs looking for their forever Retirement home. Anney, a 10 year old beagle mom who came in from Kentucky with her son happened to be at the shelter. Well – that was it! Her new storey began. Anney (now known as Lady, as in “HEY LAAAAADY”) has settled into her new home and family beautifully. She is just sooooooooooo sweet.

Just 1 month after bringing Lady home our other little dog, Chloe, passed away from congestive heart failure that she was being treated for.

Lady and our other adopted sweetheart “Duke” (previously “Chaplin) started a friendship quickly since it was now just the two of them. As you can see from the pictures – they love to lounge and watch TV with the family and just relax! The two of them are so funny together. Both are a bit “uncoordinated” to say the least and when they get worked up around 6 pm – they are hilarious to watch. I can’t tell you how many times they have us in tears laughing. They are quite the pair! Lady loves to wander throughout the house and her tail never stops. It wags in circles as she investigates all the nooks and crannies. What a lovely addition to our family!

We hope that Lady and Duke live a long happy life with our family
