My boyfriend and I adopted Malick (formerly Amos) last September. He was very cautious at first, only coming out from his hiding spot to eat. However, on his second night home he suddenly ran out of hiding and jumped right into my lap. He was immediately part of the family.

Malick is a wonderful little guy—affectionate, talkative, curious. He follows us from room to room, keeping us company if we’re cooking or reading or watching a movie. He even meets me at the door when I come home from work. His favourite activities are playing laser pointer, swatting at a ball of yarn, and climbing his scratch post to get a treat. Afterwards he’ll curl up on the couch for a long nap.

While it took him a while to get comfortable with visitors, Malick’s now a charming host. He’ll come out to greet new people and is vocal when he’s happy to see a familiar face. Visitors often comment on how friendly he is. He was clearly quite frightened of new people at first, and it’s been a delight to watch him become so warm and trusting.

Malick definitely has his forever home with us, we absolutely love him. Thank you so much to Margaret who brought us over to his cage thinking we’d be a good match.
