I adopted Mufasa as soon as I met him. He was a year and eight-month-old hamster who was brought in from another shelter.

I was told he had arthritis, scars, and hair loss. I was then informed he may not have more than a few months, and I knew he was supposed to spend his second life with me.

Within weeks of feeding him fresh food, and snuggling while watching TV together, it was like he was a newborn. He was full of energy and always wanted attention.

Even family members who are scared of rodents fell in love with him.

He passed away with love, and with the most wonderful team of vets surrounding him, giving him love because I couldn’t be with him in the room due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mufasa was an amazing hamster, and I am so grateful I got to be his final home.
