Nemo and Jenny

Nemo and Jenny

September 01, 2018
A year and a half ago, I started fostering-to-own Nemo (Gooey). Nemo was from a hoarding situation and had developed some health problems, but from the beginning he was the sweetest, smartest, friendliest cat you can imagine. He needed two ear operations and had some complications, but THS saw him through everything while I was fostering him. After six months he was finally all mine!

When I decided to go to school full time, I thought that Nemo might need a companion, so I started fostering-to-own Pirate Jenny (Ida). She was also from a hoarding situation and wasn’t as friendly as Nemo. It took a while for her to warm up to people, but she loved Nemo right away and followed him around everywhere. Pirate Jenny had severe gingivitis and needed most of her teeth extracted before she was ready to be adopted. Every time she went back to THS for surgery, Nemo was depressed and meowed at all her hiding places.

Pirate Jenny came through her surgeries like a trooper and I adopted her this summer. Now she loves to purr, play, and be petted—but she still loves Nemo best.
