Petey (formerly Poppy) loves people and any other dog. He freely roams around in a boathouse cottage, sleeping on the leather couches or on his dog bed.

He loves the marrow bones. I give them almost one every day. And he works on destroying his toys. He does not take food off the counter or table. He loves human food and easily gets some every day. He also loves playing dog tag when I have friends over who have two small dogs.

We go out every day and try to do at least a 4K .I carry a leash in my pocket, but I never have had to use it. At first he only would walk behind me, but now he will go as much as 2 to 300 feet ahead of me, galloping back if you yell his name.

Petey is very affectionate and loves to be petted. He snuggles up to me and any guests on the couches. I never let him on my bed, but he does manage to take advantage of my guests and get on their bed with them.

Petey is adjusting to his new life, all the freedom that he has, and lots of affection.
