I adopted Remi (previously Geronimo) from THS 2 years ago this December, initially going with no intentions of adopting an animal but I saw her sleeping, curled up in a little ball hugging her broken legs and I knew she was going to be mine. Although she had to have one of her legs amputated, she continues to live her life to the fullest. She never let her disability keep her from chasing after her sister, running after her toys, and climbing up my bed. She is the light of my life and will always be the best decision I have ever made.

When I adopted Remi, I was at one of the lowest points in my life. I was battling depression and anxiety, trying to cope with school, and the transition of living by myself. Seeing Remi not let her disability keep her from doing anything, she gave me so much motivation to continue to battle my own struggles. Remi was depending on me, so I had to be better for her. Two years later, I am finally happy at where I am and I owe that all to my sweet little Remi.
