I'm a young loving guy who is still getting used to the hustle and bustle of life. The outside world is SO BIG with so many new things to discover! I am quite inquisitive of surroundings, but because everything is so new, I can be quite cautious and sometimes even get startled when I'm investigating during walks.
I LOVE making new doggie friends and sometimes get too excited and pull on the leash towards potential play buddies. But not to worry, my handlers have been using positive reinforcement based training methods to work on handler and leash skills with me and I'm improving!
Speaking of training....TREATS! I love food but tend to feel I deserve a higher value type of treat (or even wet food) to reward me for all of the hard work I do to learn! I also can sometimes experience some stage fright; so at the moment, I prefer to learn without an audience.
Although I am ENTHUSIASTICALLY friendly, I am quite shy and may be just as enthusiastic in vocalizing to you if I need you to go slower when introducing yourself or approaching me. Slow and steady wins the race after all!
I need to be adopted to a home where my future family will be happy to continue my training with me. I have a lot of love to give but need adopters who will be patient with me while I come out of my shell. Give me some time, and I'll win the race!
