Durham Region - Spay/Neuter Services

Due to the recognized need for affordable sterilization service for residents in the Durham region, Toronto Humane Society is proud to offer transportation services for clients who may not be able to access our clinic themselves. In conjunction with the Humane Society of Durham Region we have arranged drop off and pick up of patients at HSDR to hopefully ease both the financial and time burden of getting one’s pet to our normal operating spay/neuter clinic.

How the Spay/Neuter Clinic OperatesHow the Spay/Neuter Clinic Operates

  • Based on a business and operational model developed by Humane Alliance: low cost, high-quality, high-volume, and self-sustaining.
  • Primarily focused on servicing cats due to the enormous problem of homeless, stray, abandoned and feral cats in the city of Toronto, but dogs are also accepted at the clinic!
  • Toronto Humane Society Spay/Neuter and Vaccination Services are open to citizens of Toronto and the GTA needing veterinary services for their pet cats and dogs. We do not accept breeders at these clinics, thank you for your understanding.
  • Please note that we do not provide surgical services for rabbits.
  • All animals must be healthy and between the ages of 3 months – 6 years. For further eligibility requirements please read our FAQ & pet eligibility requirements handout.
  • This transportation service is only for cat owner’s receiving one of the approved income supplements.
