When Levi’s family was in distress, they turned to Toronto Humane Society’s Urgent Foster Care program so Levi would be safe and cared for while the family sought help. 

Levi went to a foster home where the foster family made him feel loved and welcomed. The foster family noted that Levi wasn’t very interested in eating and when he did eat, it was only soft food that was hand fed to him. Levi seemed to be having trouble chewing. Our medical team had noted some dental issues and asked for authorization from Levi’s family to do dental surgery to repair the teeth that were causing Levi pain. 

Afterwards, Levi was returned to his foster family where he will be kept safe until his original family is able to bring him home.
