Sami

Hi, my name is Sami and I'm almost 6 years old.

I love spending time with people and can be extra affectionate. Sometimes, I feel like a human and prefer spending time with my favorite people, over other dogs. I also love being outside and warm my bum in the SUN. However, extra long walks aren't for me, I find long cuddling sessions at home much more enjoyable. Also, TOYS, - I love them to the point, that they don't last very long (oh well) haha. I don't bark, but you will hear my presence because of my cute snorting sounds. I bring lots of joy to everyone around me, but there's one thing you need to know.. I do struggle with environmental and food allergies most of my life, so I have to stay on daily medication to help with the itch. I don't mind it, but it can be annoying, as I require help from my future family to keep me healthy and happy. Oh, and did I mention I LOVE kids? I get very excited and jumpy around them. To conclude, I'd love to find a big or small family, that will give me the same amount of love and care as I will. I promise to be by your side through this amazing journey of life.

Notes:
- Crate trained
- Sleeps in his own little bed, but has to be with the same room with you
- No regular accidents at home
- Shouldn't be jumping in general, but especially on/off things, as this breed has a sensitive spine. He also has a luxating patella. Get him little stairs for the couch/bed. He knows how to use them.
- Have a fabric cone ready, so you can use it in case he starts to itch more than normal.
- Use a harness vs. a collar, to ensure nothing is blocking his breathing
- If outside in the heat, be very careful as this breed can heat up really fast, make sure you always have water and don't stay out too long.
- In the cold, make sure to have a winter jacket and booties. Their fur isn't very warm and the salt hurts their paws.
- Foods to avoid: Poultry, Grapes (I'd be careful with fruits in general), pork, grains.
