Coveting a Spot on Top 100 Charities List for the Second Year in a Row

| October 20, 2023

In light of the rising cost of living and the ongoing repercussions of the pandemic, numerous Canadians are seeking assistance from charitable services. Simultaneously, fewer Canadians find themselves in a position to contribute to these services.

Every dollar donated counts – but how can you be sure that your support is truly making a difference?

Charity Intelligence released their Top 100 Charities list to help donors do their homework before they give. We’re thrilled to share that Toronto Humane Society made the top 100 list and received a top-rated 5-star rating for a second year in a row!

Proof in Our Actions

This recognition serves as a motivating force for us to further our mission, gaining new supporters in the process. According to Canada Helps, 2 in 10 Canadians (22% of the population) expect to use or are already using charitable services to meet basic necessities.

We’ve personally witnessed the increased demand for our public services such as our Pet Food Bank, Pet Parent Support Network, Urgent Care, and Public Veterinary Service. Addressing the community’s concerns, particularly during the upcoming holiday season, can be a formidable challenge. However, your support can ensure that each and every pet gets the care they rightfully deserve and that more families stay together.
