November 5, 2020 @ 2:43 pm

When it comes to training, your dog isn’t the only one reaping the rewards. Working regularly with your dog helps you to understand their needs better, making you an even better guardian as well.

Toronto Humane Society is currently offering 3 dog and puppy training courses online: Foundations Skills Tier 2, Rally-O and Introduction to Scent and Detection.

Take advantage of our available virtual dog and puppy training services and treat your dog to an exciting new challenge.

Foundation Skills Tier 2: Our Foundation Skills Tier 2 classes expand on the skills you and your dog acquired during Foundation Skills Tier 1. Continue strengthening the human-animal bond by building trust and practicing teamwork with your dog. Further refine your skills and learn how to keep training interesting, fun, and motivating for the both of you! This class will emphasize training in the presence of distractions and the instructor will give you homework for between classes.

Rally-O is a great challenge to improve your dogs heel work and human dog communication skills. This class will help you keep your dog focused, enthusiastic, and right beside you while maneuvering around that course that contains various obstacles and obedience behaviours.

In this class you will learn how to condition your dog to an odour, and do room searches to find that odour. These are the same techniques used in Canine Nosework which is a very popular dog sport. One of the best things about Nosework, is that unlike other dog sports dogs of any age can participate and compete. Keep your dog’s brain active and learning by joining this Intro to Scent Detection Class! Supplies needed.
Available every Thursday at 6:00 pm from November 5, 2020 to December 17, 2020.
