My name is Megan, and my partner is Rishav, and 3 months ago we adopted a year-old cat you named Ren. It’s been going FABULOUSLY.

We renamed Ren to Charizard (wanted a dragon-y name and he was so, so tiny) but we call him Charlie for short. He is an affectionate, talkative, and mischievous little guy who completely runs our apartment now. He loves to sit on laps and run around and yell at us if we’re a bit late with his dinner (in his mind). After being told he was underweight when we got him, he’s now up to a proper weight and the vet says she expects him to get even bigger!

The night we brought him home, he ran, purring, back and forth between both of our laps, and he’s been settled in ever since. I think he knew he was home. All that to say – he’s the perfect third to our little family, and we love him so much. Thank you all, especially Mateo and Megan (I believe that was the name of our adoption counsellor!) who helped us bring him home.
