I’m writing to share an update on Zeku, whom I’ve affectionately renamed Sibby, the sweet tortoiseshell kitten I welcomed into my home just over a month ago. From the moment I placed Sibby on hold about five weeks prior to bringing her home, I was deeply aware of the challenges she faced with her health and development during her time at the shelter. Your team’s unwavering support, diligent veterinary care and nurturing attention throughout her four-month stay with you were truly remarkable, and I can’t express enough gratitude for your dedication to helping her thrive.
Sibby has quickly endeared herself to me with her quirky personality (‘tortitude’), adaptability, and innate sweetness. Since arriving home, she’s been by my side, ready to engage in lively conversation – chirping and ‘yapping’ around the apartment as soon as I return home or wake up in the morning. Her affectionate nature knows no bounds; she shares my pillow, occupies my lap, and graciously occupies all of my personal space – she’s sitting on my shoulder helping me write this to you! I couldn’t be happier to have her around, and I cherish every moment we spend together. Knowing Sibby was undersocialized as a kitten and faced health challenges, I’m so proud of the progress she’s made and the resilience she has shown. I feel so privileged to be her cat-mom and to offer her a safe and happy home to continue to grow.
Once again, I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to each member of your team for the invaluable role you played in Sibby’s journey. Your dedication and compassion have made a profound difference in her life- and mine.
