Bugsi’s journey was more complex and, at times, more urgent. He arrived not feeling his best, with episodes of vomiting, reduced appetite, and concerns around whether he was urinating normally. It was clear early on that he needed more in-depth medical attention.

Further testing showed that Bugsi had bladder stones causing discomfort and urinary trouble. Once he was stable, he underwent surgery to remove them, along with dental work to address significant oral disease discovered during his intake exam.

The surgery went well, and the foster and veterinary care team worked carefully afterward to make sure he was comfortable, hydrated, and eating again. Recovery wasn’t perfectly linear—there were days when his appetite dipped or he needed extra support—but he was closely monitored the entire time and responded well to care.

As the days passed, Bugsi steadily improved. He began eating more consistently, using his litter box normally again, and showing more of his personality—affectionate, curious, and very much ready to move forward.

Once he was medically stable and comfortable, Bugsi was made available for adoption. Not long after, he found his match and has since gone home to start his next chapter.
