Bronco

Bronco is a 2-year-old American Bulldog mix who's been waiting patiently for nearly 4 months, hoping for the one thing he wants most: a calm, loving home where he can finally exhale.

Bronco is incredibly sweet, highly intelligent, and sensitive to the world around him. With his velvety soft coat and soulful eyes, he wins hearts quickly - but it's his quiet resilience that really shines. The busy, noisy shelter environment can be overwhelming for him, but Bronco has found a clever way to cope: he carries a toy in his mouth, which helps him process all the activity and sensory input.

He's made huge strides during his time with us. Bronco used to get a little jumpy and mouthy when he was excited to see his favorite people - just a dog trying to say "I missed you!" the only way he knew how. But thanks to the consistency of volunteers and lots of love, he's learning how to regulate his emotions and express himself in more appropriate ways. He's getting better every day.

Bronco responds beautifully to a clicker and has shown he's eager to learn. He LOVES when volunteers sit quietly by his kennel - just being near a calm, friendly human soothes him. He's a dog who wants connection, who craves it, but just needs help navigating all the feelings that come with it.
