Rising costs and inflation are a growing concern for Canadians, affecting everyday expenses like groceries, gasoline, and housing. Pet parents are also feeling the sting, with increased costs of veterinary care, food, and pet supplies.
While we offer programs such as our Pet Parent Support Network, pet food bank, and affordable vet services to support our community, we wanted to provide a little extra assistance to pet parents in need.
On Saturday, October 22nd we held our first Community Day event. We had pet food and pet accessories such as carriers, dog crates, harnesses and more, all available to those who needed it. These items were donated to us, and although they’re in good condition, we had a surplus and wanted to share.
We were delighted to see our community members take many of the available items and walk away with big smiles on their faces.
We understand that times are tough – even the smallest gift can make a difference – and that is why we’re holding another Community Day event.
