Giving Tuesday - Bourbon's Story

Help us Keep Pets Where They Belong – With Their Families

| November 26, 2021

Giving Tuesday is a global movement where people choose giving over getting and helping over having. It’s about kindness, generosity, and supporting those in need. But for animals and animal-loving communities, it means so much more. It inspires hope and helps to keep families together– families like Bourbon’s.

Bourbon’s Story

A family was going through a tough time and needed someone to help take care of their 2-month-old puppy, Bourbon. Bourbon was enrolled in our Urgent Foster Care program which supports pet parents in dire need by providing temporary housing for their pets until they are able to be reunited.

“We found your program at a very dark time, and we are only able to say that things are getting back to their sunny usual self because we have our fur baby back. She has returned secure, loved, trained and a wonderful puppy,” said Bourbon’s parents. “Not only did you take care of my puppy’s needs, but you also provided updates, security, and a peace of mind. The [Urgent Foster Care] program is the reason we were able to keep our puppy.”

Help Keep More Families Together

The day Bourbon was reunited with her family was a day full of tail wagging, hugs, and happy tears. Without the Urgent Foster Care program, Bourbon’s family would likely have no other choice but to surrender their beloved family member.

Your donation today will support programs like the Urgent Foster Care Program that help keep families together. Plus, thanks to AIG Canada, efforts will be doubled as they are matching dollar-for-dollar the first $5000 donated.
