The time was right for us to be cat parents again after several years of not having cats in our lives.  We specifically wanted to adopt an older senior kitty, and then Angelique came into our lives.

After a few days in her sanctuary space, her behaviour told us she was ready to come out and explore her forever home and get to know us better.

It’s been over 4 months since we’ve adopted Angelique and our lives have certainly changed for the better.  She has brought us so much joy and humour as we all have adjusted together.  After a few tweaks to her feeding schedule, Angelique has become very content with her daily routine.  She is also not shy to remind us of when her next feeding is coming soon.

When Angelique is not napping, she loves brief moments interacting with the wand toy or playing solo with her kicker toy when she gets those momentary energy spurts.  Her favourite possession though is her tall vertical post, her “home base” as we call it, where after her few stretch scratches, she loves to lean against it and watch tv or just chill and relax while waiting for her next feeding.

We are grateful to have Angelique as part of our family – we just love her so much.  Thank you, Toronto Humane Society, for all that you do, and for allowing us to adopt Angelique so that she can live her best golden years in a place that she deserves.
