Hood
Hood
Hood is an inquisitive and affectionate cat who has been with us since December 2023. Brought in as a stray, Hood is now eagerly awaiting the next chapter of his life with a loving family.
Hood has been diagnosed with Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD), a condition that affects the bladder and urethra in cats. FLUTD can cause urinary discomfort and requires careful management. To ensure Hood is happy and healthy in his forever home, he'll need a family that can tend to his special dietary needs. Hood needs a special diet to prevent urinary crystals and stones. This typically involves prescription cat food formulated for urinary health. Keeping Hood well-hydrated is also crucial.
His playful nature and love for petting make him a delightful addition to any home. Hood approaches and solicits interaction, always ready for a cuddle or a game. Plus, he is a big fan of squeeze tube treats and enjoys eating his dry food from a puzzle feeder, which keeps his mind active and engaged.
To keep Hood's energetic and curious mind stimulated, he needs plenty of enrichment and regular, frequent play sessions. A consistent routine is also beneficial for his well-being. Hood has shown interest in target training with his current foster parent. With a dedicated and patient family willing to continue this training, Hood could truly thrive.
Hood is ready to leave his stray days behind and find a forever home where he can receive the care, love, and stimulation he needs. If you are looking for a smart, affectionate, and playful companion, Hood might just be the perfect match for you.
