Copper is a cheerful, outgoing beagle who's quickly become a volunteer favorite. With his wagging tail, happy bark, and love for sniffing absolutely everything, he's a walking reminder of why beagles are so lovable. He thrives on enrichment, especially walks that let him follow his nose, and he's got a fun, curious personality that keeps everyone smiling.

Lately, Copper has been showing great progress in staying calm and focused on walks. He's learning to ignore distractions and recently walked like a champ-even greeting strangers politely and catching tossed treats like a pro. He's still working on staying cool around other dogs, but with structure and positive reinforcement, he's getting better every day.

At times the kennel environment can be intense, so it's understandable that Copper gets a bit overexcited sometimes. But outside of that high-energy space, he's shown he can settle, focus, and enjoy calm companionship. He loves human attention and really shines when given clear guidance and things to do.
