Samson
Hi! I'm Samson - Big, Bouncy, and Absolutely Full of Love
Let's get one thing straight: I'm a whole lot of dog, and a whole lot of heart. One year old, handsome as heck, goofy in all the best ways, and ready to find my forever family. Could that be you?
I'm basically a 70-pound cuddle machine with springs in my feet and love in my soul. I'm affectionate, playful, smart, and very into my people. I'm told I'm "mild to moderately jumpy-mouthy" - which I think is just a fancy way of saying I get excited and forget I'm not a baby kangaroo. But don't worry! I've been working on it like a champ, and I'm getting sooo much better. Redirection? Got it. Treats? I'll sit, I'll stay, I'll tap dance for one.
Now, I do have a bit of a "stranger danger" vibe. It takes me a moment to warm up to new people - especially if they come on strong. (Can't blame a guy for being cautious, right?) But once I know you're cool, I'm all wags, wiggles, and ready-for-snuggles.
Leash walks? Fun! Especially when there are squirrels! (Okay yes, I might get a little too enthusiastic sometimes - small fluffy creatures are very interesting and I occasionally try to launch into orbit.) But overall, I'm pretty manageable and always learning.
Dogs? Yes, please! I've lived with multiple dog pals before and I love a good pack walk. Cats? Um... let's maybe not. I've got some prey drive and I think they're squeaky toys with legs.
Kids? Older ones (15+) would be best for me. I'm big, strong, and still learning not to boop people in the face with my whole body.
Bottom line: I'm a work in progress - but aren't we all? I've got so much love to give, and I'm looking for someone patient, kind, and ready to laugh (because I'm pretty funny, even when I don't mean to be).
Are you looking for a loyal, goofy, affectionate best friend who will fill your home with laughter, zoomies, and love?
Then hey. I'm Samson. Let's do life together
My adoption fee is $400 and includes my spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, dewormer and a microchip. If you want to learn more about me, please come visit the GTHS and speak with one of the amazing Adoption Counsellors! The GTHS is open for adoptions from 12pm-4:00pm, every single day of the week and they would be thrilled to introduce you to me! I can't wait to meet you and am looking forward to starting my new life with my new family!
