Gaba

Meet Gaba: Small Panther, Big Heart

Gaba is a petite three-year-old black cat with a sleek coat and a feature you won't forget: the fur on her ears is so sparse that they glow a soft brownish pink.

Gaba spent her first day in her foster home settling in from the cozy comfort of her crate. By the very next morning she was curious enough to start exploring. A wiggling strand of yarn was all it took to bring out her playful side. Now she roams the whole apartment, hops into the sink, claims the work chair as her own, and spends long stretches gazing out the window. She's a true night owl, too: after dark she comes out to eat, play, and chat, and she has plenty to say.

Playtime is where Gaba really shines. She adores wand toys, chases balls that rattle as they roll, and gives her cardboard scratcher some very enthusiastic chomps. She's even started taking lickable treats from her foster's fingers, and she's making new progress every day.

Gaba is a thoughtful girl who likes to get to know people at her own pace, so she'll thrive in a calm, quiet home with a patient adopter. Loud noises don't faze her one bit, whether it's the vacuum, the laundry or the dishwasher. She just likes to decide for herself when someone has earned her trust. Sit still on the couch, and you may find her tiptoeing over for a curious sniff.

Gaba has made so much progress in just one week. Imagine how she'll blossom with a little more time and a home to call her own! If you'd love to earn the trust of a playful little panther, Gaba is ready to meet you.
