Herman
Herman
Meet Herman - Your Personal Attention Consultant (and Bathroom Supervisor)!
At 4 years old, Herman has already perfected the art of being an excellent companion. Neutered, charming, affectionate, and wonderfully low-maintenance, this handsome gentleman knows exactly what he wants out of life: love, attention, and preferably a lap to call his own.
Herman is a certified attention enthusiast. He'll put his paws up on your leg to politely (and adorably) request some pets or to be picked up. And apparently, personal space is a little overrated when it comes to his favorite humans. His previous caregiver reports that Herman especially enjoys being held while they're on the toilet. Yes, he's THAT devoted. Forget privacy; Herman believes bathroom time is quality bonding time!
Herman has spent his life surrounded by other cats and genuinely enjoys their company. He's been known to groom and snuggle with his feline housemates, even sleeping alongside them. With a proper, gradual introduction, he is expected to do well in a home with other friendly cats (after proper slow introduction).
His personality has been described as friendly, affectionate, playful, and easygoing. He enjoys being handled by familiar people, although he's not a fan of strangers petting him or being picked up before he's comfortable. He hasn't lived with dogs or children, so those relationships remain an unknown.
Shelter life has brought out Herman's more timid side. He's environmentally fearful here, but there's a big difference between a cat feeling overwhelmed in a shelter and the loving companion his former caregiver knew at home. He'll need a little patience, a gentle approach, and time to feel safe enough to let his wonderful personality shine.
Herman isn't asking for much: a cozy place to nap, some feline friends if available, and a human who doesn't mind having a furry bathroom attendant. In return, he'll offer endless affection, gentle reminders that it's time for pets, and the kind of companionship that makes a house feel like home.
Herman is ready to trade shelter uncertainty for a lifetime of love. Could you be the person he's been waiting to follow from room to room... including the bathroom?
