Scrappy, a sweet 9-month-old Beagle, came to us under heartbreaking circumstances. One day, his life took a devastating turn—he was hit by a car, leaving him with severe injuries that required immediate, life-saving medical care. His family, deeply distressed, faced an unimaginable situation. Without the financial resources to afford his care, they feared they might lose their beloved pet forever.
But because of supporters like you, his story did not end in tragedy.
The day after his accident, Scrappy was brought to Toronto Humane Society. Our team of veterinary professionals acted quickly, ensuring he was provided with the urgent care he so desperately needed. His injuries were serious—a fractured hind leg, contusions on both lungs, and fractured ribs. But because of your generosity, he was stabilized, provided with oxygen therapy, and had the surgery to repair his leg performed a day later.
Thanks to the incredible care Scrappy received, he made it through those critical first days and began his road to recovery.
Thanks to the support of people like you, Scrappy was able to stay in the picture. After his surgery, Scrappy was placed in foster care to heal.
After weeks of recovery, Scrappy is able to start his next chapter.
Unfortunately, Scrappy’s story isn’t unique. Many families face the impossible choice of giving up a beloved pet when they can’t afford urgent medical care. Your donations ensure that pets like Scrappy get the life-saving treatment they need—so that no pet is pushed out of the picture.
Bird Mechanical Ltd. is generously matching all donations up to $10,000. That means every dollar you donate will have double the impact, helping more pets like Scrappy get the urgent care they need and deserve.
You have the power to help pets start their next chapter in loving homes, and to keep them in the picture where they belong.
Thank you for keeping pets like Scrappy in the picture and for helping them begin their next chapter. Your compassion makes all the difference.
