The Do’s and Don’ts of National Cupcake Day

| February 11, 2022

To help you get the most out of National Cupcake Day, here’s a list of do’s and don’ts!

Do join us in celebrating National Cupcake Day by signing up as an individual, starting a team, or joining a team. Or better yet, you can join our team!

Don’t fret. National Cupcake Day is all about having fun while improving lives. Taking part is easy. You don’t have to be a master chef! You can sell your cupcakes to your friends and family online. You can even send virtual cupcakes by email! Through the power of social media, you will be able to reach a greater audience to help many animals in-need!

Do support bakeries who are participating in National Cupcake Day. If you aren’t interested in baking but still want to support animals and eat delicious cupcakes, we’ve got just the thing for you! Participating bakeries are selling treats from their location with proceeds going directly to animals in our care. If you can’t bake them, you might as well indulge in them.

Tori’s Bakeshop is Toronto’s first plant-based cafe, baking fresh daily with natural, organic, seasonal ingredients, sourced as locally as possible.

Hype Food Co. is an allergy-aware fast casual restaurant and bakery that is also nut-free. The kitchen is also free from gluten and priority allergens (peanuts, tree-nuts, wheat, dairy, eggs, soy, sesame, fish, crustaceans, and mollusks).

Cinnaholics High Park serves “create your own” cinnamon rolls and other sweet treats. All of their products are fresh baked and 100% vegan as well as dairy & lactose-free and egg-free.

Don’t give up! It’s okay if your cat cupcake looks more like a melting frog. Our animals won’t know the difference. It’s the thought that counts. And remember, this is for the animals. People enjoy giving when it’s for a good cause. No matter how your sweet treats turn out, your support will go towards animals in need.

National Cupcake Day is a nation-wide fundraiser supporting participating SPCA’s, humane societies and rescue groups across Canada. Animal lovers bake for friends, family, coworkers or classmates to raise money and spread awareness.  Join our team and improve the lives of animals!
