$100,000 Raised for Toronto Humane Society’s Stolen Van

| December 1, 2022

I am writing you today with the utmost thanks. My heart is warmed by the generosity of our community!

On Tuesday afternoon, we reached out to you with a plea to help us recover from a robbery that we had experienced overnight. You helped us spread our message far and wide and the outpour of support we have received has been absolutely astonishing.

You have helped us raise $100,000!

Upon initial assessment, our internal estimates were about $60,000 in damages, and stolen property. Once we started working with external vendors and receiving formal quotes the estimate rose to nearly $100,000.

Over the course of the last two days, the community we work to support, has really come forward and supported us through this hardship. In less than 48 hours we have recovered the cost of repairs, stolen property, and increasing security measures so this does not happen again.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! From the bottom of our hearts, we are so grateful for the support our community has shown us, especially in times that are already tight for everyone. With your support we will be able to continue our operations.

Thank you again and have a wonderful holiday season.
