When Hearst arrived at Toronto Humane Society, she was just a tiny puppy with a big hurdle ahead of her. 

Found alone alongside her mother and seven siblings, Hearst should have been spending her days doing what puppies do best: playing, exploring, and soaking up the joys of summer. Instead, our veterinary team discovered a heart murmur during her medical assessment. 

For weeks, Hearst received specialized care, follow-up examinations, and a referral to a veterinary cardiologist. While her care team waited for answers, they made sure she had everything she needed to feel safe, comfortable, and loved. 

Thankfully, there was good news. 

After a full cardiac evaluation, Hearst was given a clean bill of health. Her heart is healthy, her future is bright, and she is now one step closer to finding the loving family she deserves.
