I came home with Sondheim (formerly Lincoln) on July 26th. We had some sleepless nights as we figured out the sanctuary space of my bedroom and both cats wanting to know what was going on with these changes. Stuart (named after Canadian author Stuart McLean) has always let curiosity win over fear. Within two days he was hopping over the baby gate to sniff out this new guy.
Lincoln has been re-named Sondheim (after the musical theatre composer/lyricist) because he’s got a lot to say and filled with feelings. It’s been three weeks now and while there has been some play fighting gone too far commotion, there is also playing. And other lovely little moments.
We’re figuring out our family dynamic and doing really well. Lots of love here! Thank You for all that you do!
