It’s been 6 weeks or so since we brought Steven (formerly Hawaii) into our home. This floppy shy boy has stolen everybody’s heart.
From a slow and lazy teddy bear, he has become a zooming play machine with our older dog Twix (also from Toronto Humane Society). He has not only has come out of his shell, but he has also brought Twix out of hers too, even if she was a little iffy at first of this regal giant prince. They cuddle, they tug, he doesn’t want to be away from her. His favourite game is to nibble on her legs when she isn’t looking at him.
In the last 6 weeks, his own legs may not have really grown any longer, but he has gained 15 lbs to the joy of his vet, is progressing amazingly through his training classes and has even managed housebreaking like a pro.
This fluffy shoe thief has been an absolute joy and an extremely welcome addition to our household. We will be forever grateful for being in the right place at the right time (for the second time) and I recommend Toronto Humane society to anyone looking to add more love in to their lives.
