My husband and I adopted Watson in April and have been meaning to send an update. After a few weeks adjusting, Watson became very attached – he sleeps in our bedroom and climbs in nice and early to offer some morning snuggles. He has socialized really well, and gets along with any pup he crosses – he gets along so well we’re working on recognizing whether the other dog has interest in him!
He has made our house and back yard his home, developed his leash skills and is even working on walking off leash on trails by our house. He has learned which toys and chew are his and where to direct his chewing energy. He is still figuring out if he likes water, but baby steps – he likes boats which is a great start.
We truly love him and wonder often how we spent so long without a presence like this lovely pup in our lives. All the feedback from the trainer was a huge help, and Watson is so smart he learned so quickly.
Watson has seen a vet here locally who has given him the all clear. He loves a good yak cheese chew and his teeth are sparkling because of it. Great trick for hitting up a patio beer – the whole family wins!
A huge thank you to Toronto Humane Society for helping us find this lovely boy to round out our family and for all the care he received during his many weeks with you. We are truly grateful!
